Among its countless accolades, director Pawel Pawlikowski’s previous feature, LAST RESORT, which he also co-wrote, was selected for the 2000 Venice Film Festival, won a BAFTA award for Most Promising Newcomer in British Film and Best New British Feature at the 2000 Edinburgh Film Festival. Prior to LAST RESORT Pawlikowski made the acclaimed drama TWOCKERS, and the award winning documentaries SERBIAN EPICS, DOSTOEVSKY’S TRAVELS and FROM MOSCOW TO PIETUSKI.
