Cinelibre - Cineart

It seems so difficult, not only as a German, but generally as a personal, individual filmmaker to get what you desire most: that your films communicate accross borders, that you are able to connect with people in other countries, and, most important, that there is a continuity in that relationship with your audience.
In this way, we are incredibly depending on the passion and the energy of our distributors.
Visiting Brussels in early 2001 was such an amazing experience to me because I realized that people know and connect with my work, and that a lot of them have been doing so for a couple of years already. That has only been possible through the enormous creativity with which Cinéart/Cinélibre has brought my films to Belgian screens. I cannot imagine how different the relation to the Belgian audience would be if there had not been such a continuous collaboration between this distributor and us.
Different, ambitious films are totally depending on professional enthusiasts like Cinéart/Cinélibre to be able to even exist outside their countries. I am extremely grateful for this.
Danke
